Carry your music wherever you go with Logitech S715i Rechargeable Speaker for iPod and iPhone, which looks like a beauty, while sounding like a beast. This lightweight high-fidelity speaker can provide eight hours of audio on its rechargeable battery. The speaker is guaranteed to work on an iPod and iPhone. The carry bag that accompanies the speaker can also hold the remote control and A/C adapter.
Connect the device right out of the box and it sounds good. The kickstand is a bit thin but after set up, it supports the speaker nicely. While it doesn’t have the fit and finish like other speakers, the sound quality surpasses most. Although the speaker is small, the audio quality is quite full and clean with an outstanding bass. The bass may be a tad too much for certain folks but a number of reviewers found it comparable to Bose. Attempting to compare this device to Bose, while doing it at a noisy store, was difficult to say which sounded better. But quality of sound is also quite subjective so you may want to look for a way to listen to the speaker yourself in a controlled environment.
One of the biggest issues is that the amazing sound is only that way if it is plugged in. The sound drops if it’s on batteries. The sound quality is sufficient but if you want outstanding sound, it has to be plugged in. This downside could cause fits for some people who want excellent sound quality but have no access to electricity. Other features that were complained about included the remote control wanting full functionality, including not being able to control iPod menus. The travel case for the speaker seems somewhat cheap and does not feel like it is capable of efficiently protecting the speaker.
On the whole, a lot of reviewers were impressed with the good sound quality for the very affordable price. Nearly all were pleasantly surprised about the fullness, clarity and volume being produced by such a lightweight and compact unit. A number of features which were liked include the dual voltage, which works great for those who travel overseas. The speaker includes a power adapter along with an AUX-IN option so you can connect it to a laptop or another audio device. The remote control comes with limited features but what it has works nicely.
If you decide to have the Logitech S715i Rechargeable Speaker for iPod and iPhone, the people who hear it for the first time will be very impressed. When compared with small speakers from several years ago, this Logitech speaker shows outstanding progress.
